Chief Strategy Officer, IDB Lab
Marcelo Cabrol is the Chief Strategy Officer at IDB Lab, where he leads the development and execution of strategic initiatives to drive innovation and impact across Latin America and the Caribbean. He has been with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for over 20 years, previously serving as Division Chief of IDB Lab’s Scalability, Knowledge, and Impact (SKI) Division, as well as leading the Social Sector Department, the Office of External Relations, and the Education Division. Marcelo holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, a master’s in public policy from Georgetown University, and has completed doctoral studies (ABD) in government and public policy at Georgetown University.
