After more than a decade leading a company he co-founded—developing cutting-edge hardware and software technologies for the broadcast industry—, in 2013, Matías began a new journey exploring how venture capital could support science-based startups in a region where no VCs were yet investing. For over three years, he conducted deep research, mapped hundreds of early-stage scientific projects across Argentina and designed a tailored company builder model. In 2016, this work culminated in the co-founding of GRIDX. Passionate about reimagining how venture capital can unlock the potential of emerging science in underserved ecosystems, and through his leadership in GRIDX, Matías is helping shape a new generation of biotech founders driven by scientific excellence and global ambition.
