President & CEO, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA)
He currently serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) since January 2024.
Previously, he held senior leadership positions in the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE), including Vice Minister for Trade and Investment, Vice Minister for Energy Industry, and Deputy Minister for Industrial Policy. He also served as Secretary to the President for Industrial Policy in the Office of the President.
He has extensive expertise in trade, industrial policy, and energy affairs, having led key divisions such as Director General for Materials & Components Industries, Director General for Nuclear Power Industry Policy, and Director General for Product Safety Policy at the Korean Agency for Technology & Standards.
He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Seoul National University, an M.A. in Economics from Yonsei University, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Ulsan University.
