Hong Il (H.I.) Kim is the Co-Founder and CEO of KUnicorn Investment, a private equity and venture capital firm in Korea specializing in late-stage startup financing. He began his career at Korea Development Bank and has held leadership positions at ABN AMRO, Lehman Brothers, and Nomura in Hong Kong. In Korea, he led organizations such as IdeaBridge AM, IBK AM, and the Postal Savings and Insurance Development Institute. As Head of D.CAMP, Kim established FRONT1, Korea’s largest startup incubation platform, to support early-stage innovation. His approach emphasizes people-driven innovation, aiming to create societal impact through strategic and disciplined investments.
