Ji-Young Choi

Deputy Minister for International Affairs at the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MOEF)

Ji-Young Choi is the Deputy Minister for International Affairs at the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MOEF) of the Republic of Korea. He oversees Korea’s engagement with international financial institutions and leads the government’s global economic and financial cooperation initiatives.

With more than two decades of experience in international finance and economic policy, Mr. Choi has held various senior positions within MOEF, including Director General for International Finance and Director for International Finance.

He has also served at the World Bank Group — first in 2008 as a Senior Economist at the World Bank (WB), and later in 2017 at the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) — where he contributed to global economic and financial development programs.
