Professor Sanghoon Jheon is the Founder and CEO of Health on Cloud, a digital health company dedicated to advancing global healthcare through innovation, education, and technology-driven solutions. A renowned cardiothoracic surgeon and academic leader, he brings over 35 years of experience integrating medical excellence with digital transformation to strengthen healthcare systems worldwide.
Prior to founding Health on Cloud, Professor Jheon served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, one of South Korea’s leading tertiary institutions. There, he established the Healthcare Innovation Park and launched the Global Medical Academy to foster international collaboration and leadership in healthcare education.
Professor Jheon has served as a global advisor in healthcare system development and digital health strategies across Asia, the CIS region, Russia, Colombia, Vietnam, and China. He is currently President of the Asian Society for Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery and an Academician of the National Academy of Medicine of Korea.
He earned his medical degree from Kyungpook National University, is board-certified in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, and completed a fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Professor Jheon also founded the Korean Smart Medical Device Industry Promotion Foundation and has led multiple national medical societies promoting medical innovation and sustainable healthcare development.
