Geraldo Alckmin

Vice President of the Republic of Brazil

Geraldo Alckmin, Vice-President of Brazil and Minister for Development, Industry and Trade was four times Governor of the State of Sâo Paulo. He was a founder member of the Brazilian Social Democracy Party-PSDB. He left PSDB, after three decades of membership, on December 2021, and joined the Brazilian Socialist Party to integrate Lula’s ticket to the Presidency.

He is a Doctor and a Professor. He is 70 years old and started his political career more than 50 years ago. During this long term, he held many elective offices: municipal Councillor, Mayor of Pindamonhangaba, his hometown, State and Federal Congressman, Lieutenant-Governor and Governor of the State of São Paulo. He was the politician who held São Paulo Governorship for the longest period.
